Grand Egyptian Museum
The Grand Egyptian Museum(GEM)is currently offering limited preview tours which are designed more to test the site and staff ahead of the official opening, (of which the date has still not been announced).
Access is limited to the Grand Hall and the adjoining restaurants and shops. All other interior spaces, including access to the galleries and collections, are closed and restricted until the official opening.
The 45 minute tour includes:
Hanging Obelisk
Statue of King Ramses II
Ptolemaic King and Queen statues.
King Ramses II statue(Tanis)
Victory Column of Merenpetah
Tours must be prebooked locally in Cairo with our representatives or online at

We would reiterate that the GEM is not formally open and the date of opening is still unknown.
