There is a stylish lounge bar in which to relax and enjoy a cocktail while the two upper decks provide a pool with a Jacuzzi and a large crescent shaped bar where you can enjoy a drink under the stars. There's also a Spa offering massage treatments and a Turkish bath, Internet room, fitness facilities and a gift shop.

During your stay on the Alexander the Great breakfast, lunch and dinner are included, and all taken in the 'Red Fiesta' restaurant situated on the third deck. This elegant restaurant has large panoramic windows overlooking the Nile and offers a variety of international cuisine with buffet breakfasts and lunches and table service dinners. Occasional barbeques on the pool deck.Afternoon tea is served daily on the Sun Deck on sailing days

All of the 30 air-conditioned cabins have Nile views and are individually designed to provide an attractive blend of colour, texture and atmosphere. The spacious cabins measure 25 square metres and all have en-suite bathroom with bath tub, bathrobes, hairdryer, vanity mirror and natural toiletries; there is also a mini-bar, satellite LCD TV and personal safe.

• What an amazing time

  Just got back from our Nile Cruise last night(05 August). Wow! Just wanted to say what an amazing time we had on the Alexander the Great. From the minute we arrived in Cairo with your rep waiting for us with our Visas, then rep Ramy who met us at Luxor at 2am to take us to the boat. Even though it was just me and mum, nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Our Guide Ahmed was amazing all week. He looked after us so well. We had a lovely little group of just 6 on the boat so to have his personal expertise guide us through the sites was unforgettable. We learnt so much. The boat staff were fantastic too and excellent food. The organization of everything was really exceptional. It ran like clockwork. As two women travelling alone we felt totally safe all the time. Will definitely recommend Discover Egypt! Fiona - Somerset

  Alexander the Great – April 2024 My husband and I have recently returned from an absolutely wonderful holiday organised by your team. We really loved the customised itinerary that enabled us to have a shorter time on the cruise bookended by a stay in Cairo & Luxor and the train ride… and we still got to see all the sites! In particular we LOVED Alexander the Great & having seen the other larger cruise ships, including the Tulip, we realised that we wouldn’t have enjoyed those so thank you for recommending it. The quality of all the excursions was also excellent as the archaeologists were extremely knowledgeable, the meets & greets were all smooth, and we liked how it was just in small groups.
